Meet The Memories Forever Ladies...

Nicola – “The Perfectionist”
I have a background in art advertising and am a self-proclaimed visual expert with a keen eye for design. The events industry is an industry that I’ve always found exciting and though the years I’ve developed a strong passion for events which lead me to study event management though the University Of Cape Town.
Each event is unique and as an event manager I get to tell its story and evoke feeling, energy and atmosphere making the event memorable for my clients and their guests. From corporate launches, festivals and weddings (as well as smaller private affairs) I take pride in making sure every aspect of the event runs smoothly.
I am also deeply passionate about the role the events industry plays in the broader South Africa. Events are a major boost for the economy driving tourism and creating much needed jobs. Sustainability is a priority to me and I am always on the lookout for new and innovative ways to ‘green’ an event through both our suppliers and lessening the overall impact of the event.

Mirella – “The Coordinator”
Since before I can remember I have been excited about all things to do with flowers and events. With a large Italian family, weddings were my inspiration and family parties were my training grounds. My favourite thing in the world was to decorate, set the tables and spend hours arranging different blooms. Organising my matric dance was the cherry on the cake and gave me the push to take it further.
After studying landscaping, design, floristry and event management my hobby grew into a full blown passion and I decided that this was what I wanted to do with my life.
In 2011 my best friend Nicola and I founded Memories Forever Events. This has allowed me to spend every day working on my passion. Diligent project management is a key to the success of any event and I enjoy working with and coordinating the various service providers required to make an event a stand out success. People are what make an event (and all things in life) happen and I strive to ensure that the communication between all stakeholders is both clear and based on developing a positive relationship. Whether it’s a conference, corporate gathering, wedding or intimate party I put my heart into each event and treat each one as its own exciting story. As a people’s person I love working with clients while creating one of a kind art with my flowers. Managing events on the day is where I thrive.

Amaris- “The wedding Pro”
I was born in Cape Town but grew up in Mauritius. That’s where I first felt my love for weddings, as Mauritius is often compared to a paradise; I would see millions of weddings taking place all over the island. I knew straight away from a young age that’s the industry I wanted to be in. I wanted to be surrounded by wedding dresses, pretty things and love.
The more I grew up the more I started to be good at planning and putting ideas together so the little light bulb came eventually a few years ago and it made complete sense when I chose to be a Wedding & Event planner.
I came back to live here and successfully graduated from The SA School of Weddings in Cape Town...I think that my strength are being fully fluent in English and French, my awesome planning skills and my love for making people happy After being in Freelance for almost two years I am now part of the memories forever family !
